Vangie and her husband, Glenn, have been married for 24 years and have six daughters-LaJanet-22,LaDelya-20, LaVonna-18, Leila-14, Lylia-12 and LeAna-10. Vangie has been an author, professional genealogist, historian, and professional speaker for nearly three decades. Vangie has 29 years of experience in project management, project coordination and project planning (construction, aerospace, IT,transportation, logistics, and operations). She is currently a Program Management Office (PMO) Strategic Planner where she works as a Senior Program (PMO) Strategist

She is a member of the Democrats of Virginia, the League of Women Voters, the LBGTQ Democrats, the NAACP, the ACLU, the National Association of Realtors, the Project Management Institute (PMI) (serving as Director of Volunteerism for Virginia), a member of the United States Bowling Congress (serving as Chairman and Youth Director of the Greater Fredericksburg USBC) and a member of Toastmasters International where she has the distinction of Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM).
